  1. During a very enjoyable evening at The Star on Sunday 17th September, the following Player of the Year awards were presented: James Wright, Ewan Lavender, Toby Aiston, Daniel Mckerracher, (Young Player OTY), Tom Horwood (Sunday Player OTY), and Barry Newman, (Clubman OTY).

    Congratulations all!

  2. Over the coming months, the Association of Cricket Officials in Surrey are running a range of introductory courses covering both umpiring and scoring. The courses cost just £5 per person and are run at venues across the county. The sessions generally last 2.5 hours and covers some good ground which will give people the confidence to get involved in officiating this summer, either out in the middle or in the score box! These introductory courses are ideal for:
    • Parent helpers of junior age groups.
    • Older junior players who are keen to assist with junior cricket matches.
    • Players in senior sides where umpires and/or scorers are not always provided.
    • Those looking at moving into officiating when they hang up their boots!
