Dynamos Cricket at Cheam CC, for ages 8 to 11
Dynamos Cricket is the ECB programme for boys and girls aged eight to eleven. It picks up where All Stars leaves off, taking children from basic skills into playing proper cricket, in groups with children at a similar stage. Sessions are led by ECB-qualified coaches at Cheam Cricket Club. Over the programme your child will learn to:

Bat with a straight bat and move their feet

Bowl with a run-up and a straight arm

Catch, throw and field as part of a team

Play small-sided games with real match situations

Understand fair play and the basic laws of the game

Make friends and enjoy playing
No trials, ever. We do not trial children. Every child who wants to play gets a place, whatever their level. If your child has never held a bat, Dynamos is built for them. If they already play at school, they will find children to push them.
Girls-only Dynamos on Fridays. Alongside the mixed Dynamos sessions, we run a separate girls-only Dynamos session on Friday evenings. Girls can do either, whichever suits them. Girls who want to do both are welcome to book both; they are separate sessions, booked separately.
When you can book. Booking opens when the ECB announces its 2027 national programme. Until then there is nothing to book. Register your interest with us and we will tell you as soon as dates go live. The 2027 cost and what is included will be confirmed at the same time.

After Dynamos, children move into junior club membership and league cricket at Cheam CC. If cost is ever a barrier, ask about our bursary, in confidence.
Cheam Cricket Club also runs All Stars Cricket, for boys and girls aged 5 to 8.
