Senior Cricket

The Club offers two squares on the main ground, which means all home games are played at our own ground.  There is the added benefit of a large clubhouse which has a 7-day a week bar, full catering, and modern facilities.  We have five Saturday senior sides playing league cricket in the Surrey Cricket Championship and Sunday XIs including a development XI.

The club has a proud history of producing international and first class cricketers and can count Mark Butcher, Alistair Brown, Micheal Burgess and Michael Carberry among former Cheam CC players.

Outdoor training runs through the season from April to September on Thursdays from 6pm until the light fades. Winter nets start in early January at Fastlane Cricket Centre, Tadworth — dates and times are released closer to the time, so follow us on Instagram, Facebook and X for the latest.

New members are welcome to come along and join training sessions.

New senior players are always welcome, at every level. To join, email our Club Secretary at secretary@cheamcricketclub.co.uk and tell us a little about yourself. You can also download our senior recruitment flyer.

New players are welcome at every level, whether you want to play every week or are coming back to the game after a few years. Everyone is welcome to join. Saturday league cricket is selected on form and availability, with teams at every level from Division 3 downwards. Sunday cricket is relaxed and open to all members. Adult nets run on Thursdays at 6pm from mid-April to September at our ground in Peaches Close, with indoor winter nets from January.
